We help!!!
Since 2016, after Papa Ramon's arrival in Africa, many people, especially children, enjoyed our sponsorship program. They:
- attended school/university
- received clothes & hygiene articles
- received meals and/or food items
- were protected from harmful traditional rituals
- live in our children's home paradise
This program is always combined with sharing the Good News; because it is our firm believe that the knowledge acquired & the path a kid takes in his/her childhood is crucial for the rest of his/her life:
Many happy smiles in response to our support |
Uganda:
Kanaro villages (Ik tribe): Several children from the Ik tribe (Papa Ramon served this tribe for more than 3 years as a missionary) were connected with individual sponsors in Germany, allowing them to attend a primary school in Kaabong (Northern Uganda) until a school opened in their own neighborhood in Lokinene.

Some of these supported kids (together with three young Ik men) also enjoyed a trip to Jinja (prayer mountain) and Kampala (Uganda's capital city), experiencing things they never knew exist.

Also frequent trips to the Kidepo National Park allowed these kids (and other Ik children & young men) to observe Africa's wild animals, like buffalos, giraffes, elephants & antelopes.

Our support for school education is always combined with sharing bible stories. Every day Papa Ramon conducted Children's Ministry events in different Ik villages.

Visiting her home, Papa Ramon realized that Bridget and her siblings were living without parents. When Bridget's father left them years ago, he didn't allow his wife to continue to take care of the family. Her disobedience was punished by biting off part of her ear, then she disappeared as well. Since then Bridget and her siblings live without supervision and caretaker.
Papa Ramon & Bridget |
Since Bridget attends already a good Christian school, occasional financial help is provided to her to support her in her terrible situation.
Trip to lake Victoria in Entebbe |
Any attempts to invite Bridget to Namibia, as part of a school exchange program, unfortunately failed so far for bureaucratic reasons and due to jealousy of involved parties.
Nevertheless, Papa Ramon sponsored her a passport, took care of required vaccinations, i.e., yellow fever & COVID, and got a notarized parental consent form to send her to Papa Ramon's Children's Home to become one of his HopeKids.
Bridget was also taken together with some other school kids for a week-long trip around Uganda (boats ride on Lake Victoria, National Park visit, city tours, meeting the Ik tribe, visiting two missionaries, etc.).

Kampala: Two children from Kampala, Uganda's capital city, also appreciate the financial contribution from Papa Ramon's sponsorship program, allowing them to attend private schools.
Hosea, a 9 year old boy is sponsored since several years. Papa Ramon met his father, a motorbike taxi driver (boda boda), and was invited several times to his home. A friendship developed resulting in a sponsorship for Hosea, his oldest son.

Kayitesi's family: all living together with grandma |
Money for school fees, uniform & supplies isn't available. Kayitesi's dropped out of school last year in 2nd grade, when her aunt stopped paying.
Papa Ramon recently provided Kayitesi with a great 10th birthday gift and financially supports her to attend school again. A Christian private school was identified and Kayitesi started 2nd grade in June this year.
Passy is very proud of her new school uniform |
Entebbe: We also support a young primary school teacher in Entebbe. Papa Ramon welcomed Fridah back in 2017 for some missionary training among the Ik tribe and occasionally supports Frida financially.
Fridah recently graduate in early childhood development. I am proud of her!
Fridah, freshly graduated! |
Ethiopia:
Turmi, South Omo: Children from six different tribes (i.e., Dassanech, Arbore & Hamer) were welcomed to Papa Ramon's Children's Home.

Daily lessons are crucial to support our Children's Home kids' education |
As always, sharing the gospel with our Children's Home kids (and neighbors) is an essential part of our work in Africa.
Daily devotional times in the mornings and children's ministry events in the afternoons direct these children on the right path.
Daily children's ministry is a crucial part of our sponsorship program |
We also provide medical care if needed: One of the supported children, Yere, was shockingly diagnosed with bone cancer and a long, miraculous journey started back in 2020.
Yere, diagnosed with bone cancer |
Leg amputation, chemo therapy, follow-up leg surgery (bone trimming), wheelchair, leg prosthesis, and physiotherapy are a few things this 10-year old child had to endure.
Yere, after her leg amputation, in her sponsored wheelchair |
Yere always smiles. After her chemo therapy treatments she received many gifts. |

Yere continued to enjoyed life despite her disability and fight against cancer |
Here is her unbelievable story of fighting her cancer! Papa Ramon is extremely proud and thankful that he was part of her journey.
And from Yere's statement, after her miraculous healing, we can all learn:
I knew that Jesus will heal me, I prayed for it!
South Sudan
During his missionary training (AIM TIMO), Papa Ramon visited during his 'month out' the Laarim tribe in South Sudan.

Papa Ramon teamed up with Angelo, a young man who loves to be involved in children's ministry. They went from village to village to share the Good News.

With a small monthly contribution Papa Ramon currently supports Angelo's efforts to get a nursing degree in Kenya.
Supporting people in need can only be provided because of YOU and your continuous support (financially & prayers).
A big 'thank you' to all of you. As you can see your donations are indeed reaching people in need!
Smiling faces are a clear indication, that your help is highly appreciated.
