Proverbs 22: 6 (NLT)
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.

Meals for the poor

We continue to provide food items to families in need, living in Northern Namibia (Kunene region), which is hit with a multi year famine.

And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
Hebrew 13:16 (NLT)

This will fill our hungry bellies many times -
 thank you!

Families living in small villages in rural areas are completely dependent on what they can cultivate in their gardens. But with lack of rain during the last years the harvest is insufficient to provide daily food.

376,000 people (14% of Namibia's population) face hunger, severe acute food insecurity and need humanitarian aid. Families in 14 regions in Namibia spend more than 50% of their income on food.

Approximately 24% of children under five years of age suffer from stunted growth. "Women and children are particularly vulnerable, with 21% of women and 48% of children suffering from anaemia,” a report by the World Food Programme (WFP) says.

In 2022 hunger forced thousands to cross from Angola into Namibia. The worst drought in 40 years has devastated crops and killed livestock across southern Angola. They need help and we try to provide support.

Despite efforts from the government to supply maize meal, cooking oil and soup, many families are still suffering. Often the provided items, as part of the drough relief intervention, aren't sufficient.

Since many rural areas in Namibia's Kunene region lack schools, the many children living in villages are not part of the Namibian School Feeding Programme (NSFP). This program takes care of 500,000 students with a daily portion of 125g of maize meal, containing soya, sugar and salt. This is known as a maize blend, which is usually the childrens' only meal for the day.

Specifically for students from marginalized communities a new feeding program: Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (HGSFP) has been initiated by the World Food Programme (WFP). But still many villages lack support in regards to food items.

We help!
We are trying to contribute at least a little bit relief by providing primarily families with many children in need of nutrition with some urgently needed food items. This effort is combined with sharing the Good News with unreached people. Nourishment for body & soul!

Thank you!
Thanks to the help of our two friends Albert & Job (board of directors) and the financial contributions of our supporters, we were recently able to make multiple families happy.

Our friend Job is providing food to an unemployed mother with 6 children,
who is only receiving draught relief support
every 2 to 3 months

Our friend Albert is providing food
to hungry children

If you also want to contribute to this important program, please consider a donation to our Papa Ramon's HopeKids Children's Home organisation.

Many people with constant hunger
will appreciate your help.
